Method 2:

Method: The main acupoints must be selected each time, and then 3-4 additional acupoints are added according to the symptoms. The needles are retained for half an hour each time, once every other day.

3. Needle slimming method

Acupoints: Jianyu (LI15) penetrating Quchi (LI11), Liangqiu (ST34) penetrating Biguan (LI10), Liangmen (ST21) penetrating Guilai (ST29).

Method: Select No. 28 needles with a length of 3 inches, and insert needles into each acupoint each time.

4. Moxibustion for weight loss

Acupoints: The main acupoints are Yangchi and Sanzhenshu, and the auxiliary acupoints are Diji, Mingmen, Sanyinjiao and Dazhui.

Method: Select one main acupoint and one auxiliary acupoint each time, and perform moxibustion with ginger slices.

V. Precautions for Acupuncture Weight Loss

(1) Before acupuncture treatment, the practitioner, needles and acupoints should be strictly disinfected. Needles should not be reused.

(2) If dizziness, pain, nausea or other symptoms occur during acupuncture, these are adverse reactions to acupuncture and treatment should be stopped immediately.

(3) It is normal to experience soreness, numbness, distension and pain during acupuncture. After treatment, some bruising may appear on the skin, which is also a normal reaction.

(4) During the treatment process, reactions such as loss of appetite, thirst, increased frequency of urination and defecation, and fatigue may occur, which are also normal phenomena.

(5) It is best not to do strenuous exercise, take a bath, or go to a sauna within 2 to 4 hours after the needle is removed, so as to avoid bacterial infection of the needle site.

(6) This therapy is not suitable for women during menstruation, pregnancy or breastfeeding, as well as patients with severe hypertension, mental illness, or severe allergic or infectious skin diseases.
