How to maintain a healthy and well-proportioned body?

Let's say you have a strong desire to lose weight. Based on your observations, you've noticed that athletes and wild animals have very low body fat percentages. Therefore, you start exercising diligently, but you haven't seen any results for a long time. Why is this? In fact, a low body fat percentage is just one of many characteristics of athletes and wild animals. As we mentioned earlier, exercise has many effects on the body, and weight loss is only one of them.

So-called "effective exercise" aims to achieve balance among all parts of the body, not just reduce body fat percentage. You might be trying to maintain a slim figure through exercise, but your body's reaction might be: "I need to stabilize my hemoglobin levels first!" Only then do your organs begin to function and coordinate. I'm not saying this function is controlled consciously; on the contrary, the body has its own automatic control mechanisms, and any attempt to change this trend is futile. Athletes typically don't think about these kinds of issues during exercise, and I believe children and wild animals probably don't either. To them, exercise is exercise; if the body is healthy, fat will naturally decrease.

I am about to make a promise to you:

If you continue to do aerobic exercise,

Your body's fat metabolism will improve, but I'm not sure how long this will take.

I don't know for sure how strong the effect will be, but your fat will decrease rapidly.

Too many people focus solely on fat loss without understanding the various changes occurring within their bodies. In their pursuit of rapid weight loss, many resort to extreme dieting, even depriving other parts of their bodies of essential nutrients. While they may lose weight, their physical fitness and athletic performance remain unchanged, and they struggle to maintain a stable low-fat diet. In other words, weight loss should not be too drastic; it takes time.

A healthy body requires the coordinated functioning of all its organs and tissues. All connections and all parts must work together to ensure the proper functioning of all systems. Therefore, sometimes when you feel unwell, it's difficult to pinpoint exactly where the discomfort is. As health improves, the body naturally functions according to its established patterns, maintaining a certain standard. Unless all the related organs in your body maintain a balanced relationship, expectations for health won't be immediately apparent. So, don't worry too much if you don't see immediate improvements in your health; perhaps you're like an old car that needs refurbishment, but let your internal mechanisms decide for you!

Many obese people cannot imagine the relationship between fat and health. I really don't want to blame these people because they don't experience any obvious medical symptoms when they gain or lose weight. Usually, apart from disliking their unattractive appearance, they don't feel any different from others. However, body fat does have a clear relationship with physical health; in other words, their athletic ability may not be as good as that of the average person.

Read it aloud:

"I am an animal that burns fat,"

Sounds great, right?

Read it aloud again.

Fat is not an independent substance; it fluctuates with dieting, meaning its increase or decrease is related to the overall health of the body's systems. Now, we understand clearly...

It's well known that children tend to maintain a low body fat percentage because they don't consciously exercise; those who exercise regularly also find it easier to control their weight than those who only diet. You can achieve some weight loss through dieting, but dieting cannot change the tendency to be obese. No dieting method can make your body fat percentage as low as that of wild animals. Women who exercise don't maintain their weight by burning excess fat, but by changing their body's metabolic function through exercise to maintain a balanced figure.

This phenomenon is particularly evident in animals that frequently need to escape, such as wolves and deer. Even if they maintain a certain level of activity, they can still maintain a standard weight and body fat percentage. Even after ceasing exercise for a period of time, their excellent metabolism allows them to remain healthy and low in fat. The same applies to athletes; if athletes stop exercising for a period of time, their weight will not necessarily increase. We often see people who hardly exercise and have no dietary restrictions, yet their weight does not increase, seemingly due to a naturally low body fat percentage. However, if we continue to inquire, we often find that they used to exercise regularly, thus reaping the benefits of exercise, just like other wild animals.

Misconceptions in society

A reporter once asked me: "Will the current sports craze, like rock music or hula dancing, just be a passing fad, ultimately amounting to nothing?"

"Will it definitely disappear from the fashion scene?" I strongly disagree with this question. While various trends have indeed swept across the United States, Americans possess an admirable quality: they persist in anything that improves their lifestyle. Exercise fits this description perfectly, as it not only improves individual physical health but also greatly benefits mental well-being and society as a whole.

As your health gradually improves with daily exercise, your mood will also improve, making life more interesting and you more witty. Those who claim they have no interest in exercise or don't need it are making not only a medical error but also a social one. They never understand the curiosity that would arise if someone knew their thoughts-it's like saying you don't care if your health deteriorates or your house collapses. If you haven't started exercising and have no interest in starting a plan, don't admit it. Tell a little white lie! Tell your friends all the good things that happen after you exercise. The more benefits you mention, the more appealing exercise becomes. The same principle applies to unbalanced diets; the rationale is that nothing is better than a positive mindset. Exercise is currently the best way to measure health. After three or four months of regular exercise, if you stop for a period, you'll feel unwell. Then your lie will become a fact.

The positive effects of exercise are irresistible. Some commentaries, articles, and even books hold the opposite view, arguing that exercise is a waste of time and should be abandoned. Such thinking is a profound insult to thoughtful individuals. Books like "I Hate Exercise" are not interesting at all; on the contrary, they are truly pathetic. Stop criticizing exercise, because in today's society, it is indeed a foolish idea.

I'm doing a workout!

Oh, it's just training.

What I want to do is...

I want to climb a mountain.

Boating,

Why a midnight dance?
